Privacy Policy

Pollen is a calm daily puzzle. It is built to collect as little as possible: there is no account to create, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. This policy explains the few things we do handle, and why.

What we collect, and why

• Daily scores. When you finish the daily puzzle, our server stores your score for that date together with a random device identifier. The identifier is used only to rate-limit and de-duplicate submissions and to power the shared leaderboard. It is not your name, email, or Apple ID, and no account is required to play.
• Game Center (optional). If you sign in to Game Center, Apple provides a player identifier so your score can appear on the daily leaderboard and you can compare with friends. This is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.
• iCloud sync (optional). If you are signed in to iCloud, your streak, results, and archive unlock sync across your devices through your own private iCloud database. We cannot read it; it is managed by Apple.
• Daily reminder (optional). If you turn on the daily reminder, your device's notification token and, optionally, your current streak are stored so we can send the daily nudge. Turning the reminder off removes them.
• Purchases. The optional archive unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details.

What we don't do

• No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
• No advertising identifier (IDFA) and no cross-app or cross-website tracking.
• We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Data retention

Daily scores are retained to keep the leaderboard meaningful. You can ask us to delete data associated with your device identifier at any time by getting in touch.

Children

Pollen is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Service providers

We use Render to host the game's server, and Apple for Game Center, iCloud, notifications, and payments. Each processes data only to provide these features.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with an updated date.
